2022 Ford Explorer

Is there such a thing as the perfect family car? The 2022 Ford Explorer may just be the closest thing to it. Read on to find out why.

Has a Ton of Space

You’ll have plenty of room for up to six people in your Ford Explorer if you opt for second-row captain’s chairs. Going with a bench seat instead raises the passenger capacity to seven. And while power-adjustable front seats and cloth upholstery are standard, there are many other things you can add.

These include massaging front seats, heated and ventilated seats for the first two rows, and a power-folding third row. The Ford Explorer also has fantastic cargo space: 18.2 cubic feet behind the third row, 47.9 cubic feet when it’s down, and 87.8 cubic feet with both rear rows folded. A power liftgate comes standard, and a hands-free liftgate is available.

Is Very Tech Savvy

The Ford Explorer will help you and your family stay connected no matter where the road takes you. Every model comes with a Wi-Fi hot spot, Android Auto™, and Apple CarPlay®.

You will also get two USB ports, satellite radio, and an eight-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. If you’re looking for more, a rear-seat entertainment system, HD radio, and wireless device charging are all available.

Comes with Numerous Advanced Safety Features

A family vehicle has to be safe, and the Ford Explorer comes with many of the latest safety systems, including:

  • Forward collision warning
  • Forward automatic emergency braking
  • Automatic high-beam headlights
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Lane departure warning
  • Lane keep assist
  • Pedestrian detection
  • Driver attention monitoring
  • A rearview camera
  • Rear cross-traffic alert

A surround-view parking camera system, road sign recognition, and front parking sensors are just a few of the available safety features.
