Texans love their trucks, and what’s more, Texans know their trucks.  So when the Texas Auto Writer’s Association (TAWA) names a vehicle the Truck of Texas, that’s a title that means something.  Which is why here at O’Brien Ford of Shelbyville, we were thrilled to hear that TAWA writers named the 2015 Ford F-150 the Truck of Texas at their annual Truck Rodeo in October.  Of course, given the hard work and innovation that went in to designing this brand new Ford F-150, it’s no wonder TAWA loved it.  Ford engineers have created a brand new frame using military grade aluminum alloy, along with more high strength steel than any previous version of the truck.  This stronger, lighter truck also boasts fantastic driver assist features, a powerful engine, and the toughness to handle any job.  The end result is a Ford F-150 that is smarter, stronger, and more capable than any previous model.

But the 2015 Ford F-150 didn’t just win the big prize at the Truck Rodeo – the 2015 Ford F-150 Platinum was given the title of Luxury Pickup Truck of Texas, the 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch was named Full-Size Pickup Truck of Texas, and the previously mentioned high-strength aluminum alloy was determined to be the Best Technology Feature.  And the Ford Company didn’t stop there – the 2015 Ford Transit beat out competitors for the title of Commercial Vehicle of Texas, and the Ford Motor Company itself was named Truck Line of Texas.  Texans know their trucks, and according to TAWA, they love Ford trucks!

We may be far away from Texas, but that doesn’t mean local drivers don’t deserve the best in new and used trucks.  So for drivers who want to see what TAWA writers saw, visit us at O’Brien Ford to check out the Ford F-150. Louisville, Lawrenceburg, and Frankfort drivers can see what all the fuss is about right here in Shelbyville!
