Imagine I’m the big wig of Ford for just a minute. As I sit beside my fire, swirl my brandy and puff my cigar, I try to come up with two words that would best describe my new line of engines, while creating a buzz word combination that will make our marketing department wonder why they get paid when I’m the one coming up with this stuff. I’ve got it!! My fellow blue oval enthusiasts, meet the new Ford EcoBoost.

I used to always complain about the mileage my pickup truck got back when I was still driving one. Even though it was 18 miles per gallon and as far as trucks go back then that was still amazing, I needed more. I know provide my full thanks to Ford in achieving that which I promised would bring me back to the truck. I ran down to Louisville Ford and drooled all over the lot for a while. Then I went inside and talked to the boss man, and yes, I call him that because he’s not just the man with the plan, but he’s also my boss. After he got done hollering at me for being on the lot distributing saliva all over the F-150 section, we got down to numbers.

Keep Your Money, Keep Your Power

Yours and my Louisville Ford dealer can really show you something I never thought would come. I see the commercials all the time for the Ecoboost engine system. We have got it in everything. You’ll find this new money saving technology in cars, trucks, and I’m going to assume in a matter of time our van lines as well. In a time when everyone else is trying to reinvent the wheel, Ford is the only one that still seems to have any faith in making the wheel that has served so well for over a hundred years better. There is no end in sight of when we will stop using gasoline, so why does all the other manufacturers keep lying to themselves and their customers. Ford is committed to proving to the world that when something gets tough, you fight to make it better, not give up and slow down.
