It’s Ford Truck Time

Sometimes the glorious inventory on our own lot catches me off guard. I’ve been telling you all that I have been looking for a used truck. All I’m looking for is an older Ford that I could always have parked somewhere and grab when I needed it. That way I’m not always borrowing my friend’s truck when I need something hauled. more Haul It There is a breed of man that will always need a truck. I am in that breed and sadly tried to deny it when I bought my Fusion. Don’t get me wrong, of course I love my Ford Fusion completely, but I can’t quite get a yard of planting dirt in the trunk now can I? I’m currently building a wine tower, and needed a whole bunch of dimensional lumber for the project, and again, it wasn’t going to fit in the trunk. EcoBoost I always told myself that the day an F-150 could get 25 miles per gallon, I would never stray again. Lads, that day is quickly approaching. I’m beginning to hear whispers that the 2013’s will be right there. Yesterday I talked to a buddy that sells for Amsoil. He said they have an air filter system for trucks that would get me there. Keep on Truckin’ Hauling to Lawrenceburg? Ford Superduty has the power and the room to get your workforce and your materials to the job, whatever that may be. When I go to Lawrenceburg, Ford Fusion Style, I may have my workforce, but I’m usually worried about getting the seats dirty.

Ford and Summer

That’s right my friends. It is time to roll the windows down and enjoy the summer because I flat out do not care what a calendar says, SUMMER IS HERE!! I will tell you all that I am currently suffering from truck fever and today you are going to be my support group. more Gas Mileage I swore to myself that when an F-150 could get 25 miles to the gallon that I would immediately switch back to a truck from a car and never whine about cost again. Friends I am happy to say that that day is so close I can taste it. I have already been sneaking around my computer quoting one build after another and I am jazzed. Gotta Have A Truck You just cannot live without a truck. I have had to borrow a buddy’s truck now for a year off and on to get stuff home. My wood working projects weren’t going to get the material where they needed to be in a trunk now were they? And the biggest of all, when it came time this year to plant my garden, I sure wasn’t going to haul a yard of top soil in the backseat. Very simply put, a real man just can’t live without a truck. Soon, So Soon Over in Lawrenceburg, Ford f150 is an invaluable tool. You have to be able to haul stuff to get jobs done. Even if it is just for jobs around the house Shelbyville, used Ford truck inventory is such that we can still get our chores done. JOIN ME!

Keep Your Focus

Here’s the thing people. The last couple of weeks you and I have been discussing the Focus. Last week I regaled you with tales of the Escort and how it carried my family and construction equipment for years. Now the torch has passed to the new breed of Ford. more In The Beginning The Focus had a rocky start if all of you recall. With endless recalls, all in the tone of responsibility, Ford made sure the Focus was never done until you, the customer said it was done. Now the Focus is one of the top selling cars in America, and yet another jewel in the Ford crown. So what works for you? 2012 2013 doesn’t seem like it is all that far away and before you know it you’ll be hearing me talk all about the 2014’s. However, that doesn’t mean we still don’t have plenty of 2012 Focus models on the lot ready for you to test drive. And by test drive I mean take home with you, drive for 10 years, and then come get another one. I hear the 2022’s will be lovely. Ford Keep Truckin Look Shelbyville, used Ford, dealer delivered new Ford, it doesn’t matter. If you’re looking for something specific, then we’ll get it for you. If you’re look for something to do some work around Shelbyville, used Ford Superduty may be more up your alley, but the bottom line is we’ve got it here or can get it here for you to fall in love with. Come see the new before the newer shows up.

Spring Focus

My parents had escorts for years. They loved those things. They weren't all that big, of course it helped at the time that niether was I, but they got the job done in fantastic style. Today the escort has a new name, meet the versatile Focus. more Tradition The Focus is the new Escort. No matter the model you choose, the new Focus has the technology you want, the style you dream of, and the dependability you've come to expect from Ford. I know lots of families that used to run in the old, and have now upgraded to the new Focus. Just wait til you see the 2013. Versatility So the best story from the past was the 50 foot ladder. Dad and I needed a new extension ladder for work around the house and at the time we didn't have an F-150. The solution was obvious right? Put the extension ladder in its lowest position, tie a red flag around it, and have then year old me hold it down to the dash as hard as I could with ten feet or so of it sticking out the back. If a Ford car can do that back in the 80's, imagine what it could do now. The New Focus If you haven't driven a new Focus, then you really are missing out on something special. With models that start at 16K, it makes a wonderful first car for a teen driver with safety features. So Shelbyville, used cars are great, but there are better opportunities for new. Also Shelbyville, used Ford vehicles are always a great choice either way.

I Need A Truck

Spring, my friends, it is officially here! Of course, as usual, the weather cannot be counted on to cooperate with anything we need done before the heat of summer is upon us. That's why Ford is here to at the very least give you some help. Allow me to explain. more I miss my F-150 something fierce. In the last month alone, I have had to borrow a truck from a buddy at least five times. I needed wood hauled home for planter boxes, then the dirt to fill them. And I wasn't even done yet. After all that, I needed different wood hauled home for a different project, and this all amidst having to borrow a different truck and trailer to get a new mower home, TWICE! So I came up with a solution. Seems silly that I had to be told this by a friend, but I was reminded that I work at a Ford dealership. You know that whole problem that when you’re on the inside it’s tough to see the solution standing right in front of you. I love my car and would not trade the mileage, but I still need a truck for all the little side projects I seem to always have going. My solution was to grab a pre-owned certified used truck off our lot as my own. Not everything has to be new, and not everything has to be used. So if you have a problem, we may not be able to solve it all, but here in Louisville, our Ford Dealer can sure help. Even if you’re over in Lawrenceburg, Ford Superduty would go along way to get stuff done. Just sayin'!

The Future of Ford

So Ford has been making a lot of improvements in the last couple of years, but the one major things that hasn’t changed is the quality and service that comes with owning a Ford. Made in America vehicles that give you leading class gas mileage, innovation, and overall goodness are what makes Ford so great. more Trucks I don’t care who you are or where you’re from, if you think there are other kinds of pickup trucks than the Ford F-Series, then you’re just not right in the head. The Ford F-150 is the top selling truck in the country and has been for decades. I’m sorry, but again referencing how much I don’t care who you are, there is a major reason why. SUV’s The Edge is a fantastic vehicle, and has all the great benefits of a SUV and a car. If you’re looking for a trip to the grocery store to stock up, and before had take a bike ride and then violate the rule of never grocery shop hungry, then the Ford Edge is the vehicle for you. Ford in General The future of Ford is looking brighter all the time, but we can never forget how great the past has been as well. Listen Shelbyville, used Ford dealer inventory is ready and waiting for you to make your choice or certified used vehicles. Also Shelbyville, used Ford Superduty trucks never go out of style if you’re looking to look great and get some work done too.

Tailgate Season Is Here

I heard the best commercial the other day for fixing rusted out tailgates. It went on about sports season being here and you’re sitting on your tailgate alone because of all the rust. It struck me as pretty funny, but it does call to mind a great point. Sports season is here and it is time to talk about new trucks and tailgates. more Let’s Party Baseball season is officially up and running and the weather is getting better, sort of, all the time. With the sun shining it is time to head to the ballpark, drop the tailgate and throw the hot dogs on the grill. First you’re going to need a tailgate, and they are best when attached to a brand new Ford F-150. Tailgating Come on over folks and see what your sports season could be like. If you’ll allow me to use some theater of the mind for a moment I will help paint you a picture. The sun is out, the crowd is gathering, and all the ladies and your best friends are laughing and smiling around you new truck as you cook up the food, pass out the beverages, and just let the day pass into awesome. No Sports For You Not a sports fan, ok Shelbyville, used cars are hip too and we got plenty of them. Listen here Shelbyville, used Ford is way better than new anything else anyway. Jump on the bandwagon, hop on the tailgate, and let us get spring running off to the best start we can. God Bless America!

Ford: Made in America

Yesterday I was talking with some friends at the gun range and a couple of other patrons joined in what became an in depth conversation of how America has changed and continues to change. Like most old men talking, there wasn’t a lot of positivity that could be agreed upon, that is until I brought up Ford. more Ford On Top The discussion was about how no one takes any pride in their work anymore in this country, like I said it was with old men. Everything was always better in their day. The big one that I brought Ford up for was when the conversation turned to companies not caring about their employees anymore and how everything was only about the bottom line. That’s Where Ford Comes In My grandfather worked for Ford for thirty years and still lives on the pension and insurance from that career. Every two years he buys a new car on the Ford A plan and continues to live very well. Those old me were right for the most part. Most companies don’t do that sort of thing anymore, but you better believe Ford does. Trust Is Everything Listen up Lawrenceburg, Ford Superduty is what you need to get your work done and provide for your family? Ford can get it done. Hey Louisville, Ford dealer on your list of things to visit? Stop wondering when the best time to join our family is. The time is always, because Ford has been doing things the right way, the American way, for generations, and for several to come.

2013 Fusion Is The Future

Remember not so far back when I told you all that the Ford Fusion 2013 model had won the best in show award for the Detroit Auto Show? Well, my friends the time to see the winner is now at hand. more Unveil 2013 The future is now seems like such a cliché, but we’re going there, come along if you wish. The future is looking quite stylish as Frasier used to say, and Ford could not be happier. With our vehicles outpacing even our own expectations, we continue to forge ahead to a bright tomorrow. Gas Prices I heard some folks talking the other day about rising gas prices and how Ford has an effect. First, let us not forget that the F-150 gets the best non-diesel gas mileage of any full sized truck. That being said, these two old men were discussing how Ford was selling more vehicles in Europe and Asia than ever before and that was putting a strain on oil prices. Not true on the second part, but the part about Ford selling more overseas than ever before, you better believe it! Bring It On If you go back to middle of last year, I told you how Ford was beefing up its overseas distribution and manufacturing. It worked! Down here at local Louisville Ford, you can still see the best award winning made in the USA vehicles there is. So come on down to O’brien Ford of Shelbyville and let us all join in the ever growing Ford tradition.

Sporty yet comfortable, affordable but not cheap, if you haven’t seen the new Focus, then you need to hop on down. more Affordable The Ford Focus fully decked out with extras still comes in around $20K. The Ford Sync and MyTouch systems are enough gadgetry to make anyone jealous of this big present in a small package. Technology is what makes cars great. No one really brags about carbon fiber breaks or how many air bags their car has. It is all about the toys! Turning Not only will this little Ford turn nearly on a dime, giving it phenomenal maneuverability, but it will also turn heads all over town. With a relatively new design, you’ll have folks up the walk wondering at first what kind of car they’re looking at. Ford’s time is the future, and your time to take part in it is now! Let’s Have A Ford Party

Things have been going pretty well for Ford the last couple of years, and we thought it was high time for a party. Ok, unfortunately I can’t invite everyone, but what  I can do is talk about the Fiesta you CAN all come too. more Let’s Party Check out the new 2012 Ford Fiesta. The quaint little number from the blue oval that has everything you’re looking for wrapped up in a neat little package. If you’re looking for a way to beat the gas prices that have decided to hike early this year, then this just may be the car for you! Obviously not being a tank, it gets phenomenal fuel efficiency, especially on the highway. Saving money at the pump, you can’t argue with that at all these days. The Car The best thing about the Fiesta, it has a great looking sticker price. Affordable on any budget and fits anyone’s lifestyle except maybe professional seven foot tall basketball players. With a great looking interior, the cabin is actually able to seat three passengers and the driver very comfortably. So, anyone out there that doubts it because it is small, come take a look for yourself. Not For You If you are still not thinking the Fiesta is for you in Louisville, Ford F150 may be more your style. If you’re looking for a truck, a big car, a smaller car, and either way you look at it, the right Ford for you, then come on down to O’brien Ford of Shelbyville.

Fusion Back On Track

Well it looks like the Fusion is back on track to be the best. Best in show that is at the Detroit Auto Show. The new 2013 Fusion looks so good that you won’t believe it. more How Good? To be honest, in a really good way, the thing looks like it could come to life at any moment and talk to you. The grill has been redesigned and has a very inviting look while still maintaining some attitude. My Next Car I really have no other way of putting this, but I have seriously got the swap my ride fever. I keep looking at the new Fusion and realizing that I’m not in the new hip ride anymore. The new Fusion gets better gas mileage than my current Fusion, seems to have more room, and of course has the boisterous seal of approval from Autoweek. I’m Not The Only One The editor of Autoweek had this to say, "The Ford Fusion bucks the midsize-sedan trend of playing to the broadest common denominator. The Fusion delivers bold styling that projects a more luxurious message than we expected for its broad, family-car mission." This is presumably a guy that works in the auto industry that has probably seen it all several times and is still impressed by the new 2013 model. You all need to see this baby for yourself. Seriously! Whether you’re in Shelbyville or Louisville, Ford lovers alike will have even more love and pride for the blue oval than before. Head on down to O’brien Ford of Shelbyville and let me take you for the ride of your life.
