How far will your truck take you? At the Texas state fair, Ford Motor Company released a new F-150 model that has a functional range of 756 miles. The new larger gas tank coupled with the new ultra efficient EcoBoost engine has allowed the Ford line of full sized trucks to achieve a range formerly reserved for aircraft. more Ford as we all know is where it is at, has been, and always will be. No other company has made more permanent strides forward than Ford. Plenty of others come out with gimics, sales tricks, and engines that only make the car more expensive to drive on top of being a ridiculous fad. Some fads went away for a reason. It is this soul point that still baffles me how 3-D was ever reborn! At the Texas state fair, Ford showed off the new extended range and gas mileage coupled with some other features as well. For the ultra sport model, Raptor, there is a new front viewed camera, as well as other models being able to receive their own flash upgrades to more esthetically pleasing designs. Let’s face it, a great truck still turns heads. If you’re not ready to jump on the band wagon yet Shelbyville, used Ford truck sales are still waiting for you to join the club. However, something to keep in mind, the new EcoBoost engine is winning over and converting a major portion of the V-8 lovers. I was sitting on the couch last night trying to get the tennis ball out of my girlfriend’s dog’s mouth, when I realized both myself, my girlfriend, and the dog were all staring at the new Ford Focus on the tv. I will freely admit, despite being a Ford fan to the core, I didn’t like the old one, but I love the new one. more A lot of critics have focused heavily on the new gas mileage achievement for the little car that could. Now neck and neck with the Civic, that makes our little Ford just as good as the car that everybody raves about for gas mileage. So what could be next? Well we’ve seen a lot of great changes and innovations in the last couple years from the blue oval. My favorite lately is how my new girlfriend is just as obsessed with Ford as my family is. It is refreshing to meet another well balanced individual. Ford has been on the right track now for quite a while but it doesn’t seem to matter, I’m still impressed. First there was Sync, then came countless other great perks, but the new ecoboost engine is quickly rising to the top of the list. Gas is the hot issue of our day and Ford has stepped up to the plate. Where other companies continue to build cars that no one wants and pushed the government to try and force their sales, Ford just builds the cars that people do want, and improves the ones they already have. A pickup truck that can get mid twenty mile to the gallon is unheard of five years ago. Now the number one selling vehicle in the free world is doing it no problem. I won’t bore you with mechanical statistics, but you should check it out for yourself. If you’re just looking for a Shelbyville used car or truck, you know where to go and who to talk to, but if you’re looking to step up in Shelbyville, used Ford Superduty will be the ticket. Though I wouldn’t expect it to get the mileage we were just talking about.

I don’t care what the papers say, what the polls say, here at the company, we know it to be true. Do you know we have a full sized pickup truck getting mid 20 mpg’s? BELIEVE IT! We’ve been over this constantly for the last few months. Even nature herself played a part in our rise and return to power. Ford has never quit trying to give the consumer what they want, but we have lost focus in the past before. Now our sites are set clearly on the proper goals with the right people for the job of achieving them sitting on the trigger. For a long time the argument was always between the three American auto manufacturers, but now you have to choose between us and South Korea. Nothing against them, they make great cars, but in the end they are still not made in America. To those of us here in the heartland, that still matters a whole lot. I’ll be honest, I will be a pickup man until the day I die, but if there is one vehicle that could get me to switch, it would without question be the Ford Edge. more I remember when this beauty came out. It looks like a SUV, it rides like a luxury car, and seats like a minivan. If you have a family then there is no reason for you to snub the Edge as your next car. For its class the Edge gets wonderful gas mileage, has cutting edge, get it, technology throughout, and looks great either going down the road or sitting in your driveway. This is the kind of car that you brag about to your friends. Now with the new EcoBoost engine system, the Edge actually gets 30 miles to the gallon. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?? Anything that is even remotely compared to a SUV and gets thirty mpg’s is a modern miracle. As a top safety pick, it only reinforces what you’ll already know after one test drive. This car was made for people like you. The real people with families and lives that require more than just the minimum is what this car was dreamed up for. Now I may be the king of Shelbyville, Used Ford Superduty however may soon be on the market. If you’re looking around Shelbyville, used car is on your mind, and you want something you know will last, then of course you’re going to visit your local Ford dealer. The Edge is the culmination of every breakthrough we’ve ever had. Holy cow folks! Can any of you believe that we’ve packed 191 horsepower into a hybrid? I would hope not many of you do if I can’t fathom it and I work here. more The new Ford Fusion hybrid is a marvel and I’m not in any way exaggerating. For years we’re all heard how hybrids would never merge the power and economy that we all wish was possible. For years we’ve heard how you had to choose between having fun, or having more money in your pocket after a trip to the gas station. Well for years to come you will all remember how wrong we were. The Fusion The standard Fusion has been one of Ford’s best selling cars nearly since we rolled the thing of a Canadian assembly line. If you haven’t ridden in one, you really are kind of missing out. The Fusion has, well fused so many of the aspects we all want in a car, that we never thought we would find all in one car without going flat broke. Add One More So now you get even more of what you want. Old Mother Earth can have her cake and you can eat it too. Finally we will all join the ranks of less money for gas, and get to actually enjoy the car we drive. So far all I’ve been talking about is under the hood. There have been those out there in the world that have even described this car as a near luxury interior. Like all Ford’s we build enough models to make sure you have all the options to customize and play with your car to fit your own unique style and personality. What’s Next? Well Frankfort, Ford always has something up their sleeve. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out it has something to do with making a truck go farther. Frankfort, Ford truck lovers like myself remain optimistic that if they can do this to a Fusion now and get the same power, then it really can’t be that far down the road where I can get a truck with 30 MPG’s that can still haul my gas guzzling four wheeler.

It does my heart, and should the rest of yours, good to see that the rest of the world is coming together in harmony in their love of Ford Motor Company. We have been sending versions of our cars to Europe for years, and as I said earlier it has not only been going great, but also ready for a massive expansion. more So what’s next you might be asking? Well, Canada is now among those that rejoice at the chance to drive a Ford. The European version of the focus will now be sold in the northern cousin to the better part of North America. Canada however will have to pay the freight to have their Fords shipped over from Europe as we don’t actually make them here. Funny how that works out isn’t it? They Make Them, They Should Drive Them Canada actually has several assembly plants for Ford that includes individual parts as well as full vehicles that are then shipped down south to us where they are of course winning over the hearts and minds of their countrymen. The best part is as Ford spreads worldwide and conquers across the globe, hopefully we Americans should begin seeing even more benefits for being the loyal. Down here at Louisville Ford it can be easy to forget that we are part of such a large whole. When you’re working with your friends and neighbors to make sure they have everything they need to get their work or errands done, it becomes almost comical to remember that that is what has made this company great. One should never feel insignificant when it takes us as the local level to make an international company possible. As I’m sure many of you are just like myself, and we all wish we could give the blue oval a big hug, there is no need, because with the Ford Sync, near everything but driving the car is now handsfree. more Capt. When you need to make a phone call, instead of trying to remember the number, or searching thru your phone for a name, your own voice commands the call to begin, talks through the conversation, and then with a key stroke on the steering wheel, over and done with. The funny thing is, the more we advance, and the better our technology gets over the years, it still is to make us more like a 60’s TV show.

When you got a lot of hauling to do, and you need more than an SUV, then you know it is time to call in the armored division. Everyone and their mother called the Expedition and all in her class, “tanks.” My friends, the tanks have returned. more Where did they go? It has been years since we’ve seen those massive behemoths that we loved so much actually showcased. They may have always been there, but they never made it to the front lines after gasoline shot thru the ozone. Well the day has returned and so has the era of load it and go. Cue the Music! Here’s one for you. What is the highest miles per gallon seven passenger SUV on the market today? That is correct my friends, it is the brand new Ford Explorer. more There were critics out there that said brining back a gas guzzling tank like the explorer was a horrible idea in today’s market. Well, for those silly minded few, IN YOUR FACE! This tank will carry a platoon and won’t break the wallet doing it at the pump. Could you possibly want more from an SUV? I don’t think so. 28 miles per gallon is still amazing in some cars, let alone a seven passenger hauler. The crazy yelling stock guy was saying just last month that Ford is the best motor stock bet in the world. You could not ask for a better setup for a company to make a massive leap forward. With their new plan to take over the world and make billions doing it, those that are smart enough to get on board before the money train leaves will be quite pleased with their destination. For those of us down here near Frankfort, Ford is a neighbor and a friend. We see the blue oval everywhere. Helping us get our kids to school and making sure we make the block party on time. Ford has always been there and is really the only manufacturer right now that I have any confidence in long term future. If you still don’t need a seven passenger car, but still want to make sure you’ve got what you need around Frankfort, Ford Fusion is a popular favorite for several people. Granted it has been over a decade since SUV’s started to lose their luster, but I’m sure this will bring the fad back.  Ford is the way to go folks. If you’re reading this I’m sure you already believe me, but we need to get the word out. Our competitors sold out in a big way, and we all know it. Still crazy after all these years that the Ford F150 is the best selling vehicle in America, but what do you think? The fact that we are still a nation of rough and ready, get up and go to work roughnecks does my heart good. I wouldn’t trade my beautiful blue full sized for anything you’ve got. more In an age of tiny bug like cars that run on batteries like a remote control, I for one feel my shaken faith restored in the U S of A. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the media, but it goes to show you that it is all lip service. Sure we would all like to get better gas mileage, but the fact is we’ve got a lot of work to do and a ladder isn’t going to fit in a hybrid now is it? Get up and get out the door! The time is now if you’re going to get a truck. Who knows what will happen in the future. Gas is only going to get higher, so if you’re waiting for something, it is time to act. You can’t tail gate without, well you can see where this is going. Football season is not nearly as far off as you think. That is of course if we have one this year. There are countless country songs all about pickup trucks, and not a single solitary one about a car that gets high mpg’s or seats the whole family. However there is an awesome song that tells you the real cowboy is the one that doesn’t have to drive or get out and open the gate. If you’ve seen the first Ironman movie, which everyone reading this blog should have, then you know who Cramer and Mad Money are. He’s the guy that always tries to give you beneficial stock tips, and today he has a real gem for you to take advantage of. more Ford has improved its balance sheet, reduced its debt, and overall become a better auto maker. The great thing about all this, is for those of us that have been in the Ford family for generations past, we now have even more faith than ever that our children will be in the same family for generations to come. Cramer has even mentioned that what the new Ford CEO has done, has pulled off the best come back of our generation. The two letter auto maker than needed the government’s help to stay afloat, may currently have a higher stock price, but where is it going? The answer is more likely to be lower than higher. Amazingly those other guys still have not noticed that the gas guzzling hemi is not what people want, or need right now. Now take Ford for example. Reducing their product line from nearly thirty down to thirteen, and still rolling out new lines, has allowed them to raise their profit per car while still passing on savings to you, the car owner. Save gas, get a car that’s sharp, and know that you jumped on board a rocket that is about to reach orbit. Over the next five years, Ford is going to take over the rest of the world like they have successfully started here in America. China and Europe are not just huge growth opportunity markets, but with expanded production of award winning vehicles, Ford will be more than just a contender in three years time. I know here in Louisville, Ford is just our friendly neighbor, but they are truly the world’s best hope for good, made in America cars and trucks. Don’t be ashamed to run around Shelbyville, used cars still holding up and looking sharp. Now is a great time to buy, but the best part of all this, is that it is only getting better.

Facebook has changed the world in more ways than I could possibly sit here and count. I will say this, it has truly done a disservice to the movie making industry. Holy cow that was terrible. Ford has made yet another leap forward and added Google+ to their marketing campaign, good things are ahead yet again. more Google has created their answer to the Facebook, if you remember it being called that, and they call it Google+. Their own take on social media websites, Ford has wasted no time using it to their full advantage both here and it Europe. Still in the brand new phase of its release, Google+ now hosts two profiles for the blue oval, Ford Motor Company, and Ford Europe. As I’ve told you before, it is a startling wonderful fact that Ford is on the rise to become the new top auto maker in the country. The great thing about the inter web is that through sites like Facebook and Google+ they could realistically achieve the title of top auto maker in the world. Think about that for a second, and after your mind is done blowing, I’ll continue. We may be down here in Frankfort, Ford does not discriminate. Whether you are here in Kentucky, or across the pond in Europe, Ford is still a rising, and in my opinion, already the best choice you could make for conveyance. Whether you’re driving around the streets of Rome, or Frankfort, Ford Fusion would make you stand out, save you money, and give you the driving experience you only see in the movies. Not the Facebook movie mind you, no one wants that experience again. I’ve been a member of a Ford family almost as long as my grandfather worked for the company. As an employee of the Chicago Heights plant up there in Illinois, he saw a bunch of really great cars roll off the line. Now here at the show room, I watch a whole new generation of really great cars roll on the lot and then off again. I have to say, I think my family is and has been right where we belong.
